Vegetarian pizza with artichoke hearts

Finally a veggie pizza with a good source of protein thanks to our homemade sauce AND which is delicious! 🍕

Vegetarian pizza with artichoke hearts

  • Servings : 2 to 3
  • Preparation : 15 minutes
  • Cooking : 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 garlic
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 can (398 ml) of artichoke hearts, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (540 ml) of red beans, drained and rinsed
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) of tomato salsa
  • 5 drops of  Tabasco sauce (or to taste – careful: spicy!)
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) of chili powder
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) of cumin powder
  • 1 package (227 g) of fresh white mushrooms, sliced
  • 250ml (1 cup) of grated and partially skimmed mozzarella cheese
  • 1 green pepper, thinly sliced
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) black olives, sliced
  • 1 pizza crust from the store (ex : brand Ziggy’s)

Methods

  1. In a food processor, blend the garlic, onion, beans, salsa, Tabasco sauce, chili powder and cumin.
  2. Spread over pizza crust.
  3. Add the desired amount of salsa, mushrooms, cheese, green pepper, artichoke hearts and a few black olives on top .
  4. Bake at 350 ° F for 30 minutes.
