During consultations, we will develop tools and skills to enable you to easily and gradually integrate sport nutrition principles to your food habits.
There are many aquatic sports and the related challenges are just as numerous and varied. While swimmers and waterpolo players are looking to develop their strength, speed and endurance, divers and synchronized swimmers focus on precision and aesthetic. Working with many swim teams and clubs, has given us the opportunity to be out in the field (or on the pool deck actually!) to follow athletes while they are practicing their sport and to support their nutrition. Throughout the years, the VIVAÏ team has contributed to the development of several athletes in different organizations such as Plongeon Québec, Synchro Canada, Waterpolo Canada to name a few.
As a team we have spent many hours by the side of the pool! Anne-Marie is a diver and former swimmer, and has a first hand understanding of the reality of those athletes. Kate is a former synchronized swimmer and synchronized swimming coach. Catherine is also knowledgeable in aquatic sports, combining her experience in endurance sports with her expertise in technical and artistic sports, for example, through her work with the national synchronized swimming team.
The needs of aquatic athletes are unique, which is why we always begin with a complete assessment in order to elaborate a nutritional plan adapted to an athlete's metabolism, training and daily reality. The follow-up meetings allow the athlete to increase their knowledge and to integrate this knowledge into their day to day to ensure optimal development. The nutritionist will also help the athlete plan for upcoming competitions and trips abroad to ensure they are able to perform at their best despite new foods and new surroundings.
